The Red Camera Company has developed a low-cost, High-Res camera and workflow that is quickly providing an alternative to shooting on film. Many Feature and Commercial DP's have taken the jump to the Red workflow. Current capabilities include shooting in 4K to a raw format that can be dialed in long after principal photography, to upgradeable firmware that will offer better looking pictures even years after picture has wrapped.

Founded by Jim Jannard in 2005, Red released their first camera. the Red One, in 2007. Upcoming realeases include the Scarlet and Epic which offer a modular design as well as the much improved Mysterium X sensor. There are a variety of options to prep files for edtiorial. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses. We work with either FCP or Avid MC generated timelines. We can utilize either the generated media from FCP or MC, or for the most pristine picture and greatest post options, we can directly access the .R3D(raw) files. Our Avid DS systems are the next generation in Digital workflow. Avid DS incorporates all of the editorial tools you've become used to, along with the compositing and graphics suites that you normally have to outsource for all those unavoidable fixes in Post.
